Road Trip Survival Kit

Here is a list of items that can make any motorcycle road trip a more pleasant experience.

1. Bungee cords have a thousand uses, from tying down cargo to attaching a loose fairing.

2. Leatherman pocket tool. Handy multi-tool for roadside repairs.

3. Swiss Army knife. Almost as handy as a Leatherman.

4. Duct tape and electrical tape.

5. Extra fuses.

6. Small, lightweight aluminum space blanket that can provide shelter in any weather.

7. Weather radio, under $25 at WalMart or Radio Shack and can save your life.

8. Sun block and Chapstick

9. An extra pair of prescription eyeglasses and spare glasses.

10. Spare ignition key.

11. Tire pressure gauge.

12. Can of tire inflator.

13. Extra gloves.

14. LED Flashlight & extra batteries.

15. Plastic zip ties, handy for many uses.

16. Cigarette lighter. Even non-smokers may need to start a campfire to dry out.
